Madonna is a black jenny that came from Spain in a batch of 40 donkeys. Landed up in a dealers yard and he passed her over to us in January 2006 as she was in a pitiful condition. 6 weeks of TLC at donkeyheaven and she is now a majestic, shiny, sleek donkey and a joy to behold. About 12 years old then and was a working donkey in her previous life - you can see the small patches of white hairs on her body where badly fitting tack has rubbed it bare a long time ago. She has settled in well with the other donkeys and loves attention. A visitor spoke to her in Spanish not long after her arrival and Madonna followed her up and down the fence!!
