Horace-Pierre was born at the Sanctuary on Saturday 23 May 2009 at approximately 7.30 pm. His mother Coquette, was one of the donkeys brought to the Sanctuary from France in 2008. She was only three, which is rather young to have a foal. She was not showing any signs of pregnancy and H P's arrival was a complete surprise to everyone. Horace-Pierre is quite a lively chap.
