Dougal has been at the Sanctuary almost since its opening and for a long time was known as the naughtiest donkey. In reality he is just cheeky and enjoys a bit of fun. His party trick is escaping and in the past has regularly climbed over or under fences to go and visit his friends in the neighbouring fields. Sometimes it takes quite some time to find him again. As he is a little older and more sensible these days he prefers to spend his time with his own group and Del Boy is his particular friend.
