The winner of BLOSSUM is Mr Dalgetty of Haddington. As promised Mrs Dale selected this adoption out of all the adoptions made between 1st November and 19th December.

You may have seen an item on the ITV Lookaround News programme on Wednesday night about the sanctuary. We all thought that the item was excellent and Kate Byrne put over very well our current situation. We now have nearly 70 donkeys to look after and this is about five weeks now that we have not had any visitors. We hope the Christmas rush to adopt donkeys will bring in some visitors on Monday and Tuesday next week. The adoptions over the year are down by about 200 on 2009 and we have had some big items of expenditure (A kawasaki mule was bought in January 2010 to help with getting feed and water to the animals in the far flung fields in bad weather) We appreciate that times are difficult for a lot of people in the current economic climate and are grateful for what donors agree to give us
