Dusty has had the best of treatment and will return home on wednesday along with his pal Daniel. According to Kate Byrne the vets in Liverpool had to reassess the treatment due to the fact that his condition was much worse than expected. This meant that his operation took considerably longer than at first planned but within five or ten minutes of waking up he was eating food so we know that he is a very tough donkey. Everybody is looking forward to seeing him and Daniel back here once again and we look forward to a large turnout of visitors on the following weekend.

A week before Dusty and Daniel went to Liverpool the sanctuary held a medieval tournament on Sunday  July 25th and on a really nice sunny afternoon about eighty people of all ages came along to see a really entertaining show from Les Amis of d'Onno who are based in Lanton near Jedburgh. We hope to have another event sometime next summer so keep an eye out for this super event.
