Last week we welcomed a Fell Pony called Black Beauty for a short respite after being rescued from Cumbria. She has suffered badly from sweet itch and is being treated here while she waits for her new home to be found, which is underway. 

 A more permanent home is being offered to two donkeys that will be arriving on Friday. Their owners have kept them as pets and given them a wonderful life. Unfortunately, they have become unable to look after them to the standard they expect and so the donkeys will be retiring here in St Boswells. Not a lot is known about them yet, but we are all looking forward to meeting them. Anyone who wants to meet them too can come down for one of our tours this weekend. They'll still be in isolation, but that doesn't mean they won't want any carrots!
