Our latest arrival...
Monday, 08 November 2010

A couple of weeks ago we took in another donkey who had come from Pathead. He came to us because his companion had died some time ago and his owner knew that he was lonely, and was unable to get another donkey for him.

His name is Lord Angus Kilwillie, but we just call him Angus. Since he got here we have introduced him to lots of different donkeys in order to find him a friend. While he was being introduced to our lovely donkey Coquette, he introduced himself to Milo and Pixie over the fence. After some time we realised he had made his decision and he has settled in very happily with the two of them. Coquette doesn't have a friend for the moment and she's too quiet and gentle to live with all the other young donkeys, but we have moved her into one of the central fields and she is getting fed every day. She isn't poorly or out of condition, she's just so adorable we can't resist it.

We hope you can come down soon and meet Angus, he is very much enjoying meeting visitors and eating the carrots they give him! You can also see Coquette and give her some much appreciated attention. Of course all the other donkeys will be very happy to see you too!
